About Me

Dr Ali Zad is a Gastroenterologist that consults on a broad range of gastroenterological conditions. Dr Zad completed his medical training in 2002. He continued his basic physician training in New South Wales and completed his Gastroenterology advanced traineeship in Queensland and New South Wales, then he had further training in gastrointestinal motility disorder at Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam working with Prof A. J. Bredenoord , the world leader in the gastrointestinal motility disorder. He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physician in 2018 and is accredited with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) for gastroscopy and colonoscopy. He is currently appointed as a consultant Gastroenterologist at STARS and Caboolture Hospital. Dr Zad consults on a broad range of gastroenterological conditions including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Motility disorder, Liver Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Celiac Disease and Bowel Cancer Screening. He has special interest in managing Motility Disorder and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Ali is passionate about research and his research has been published in various scientific journals. He is also active in teaching medical students and junior trainees. Individualised care and furthering tertiary level care is Dr Zad’s priority in practicing medicine. He is fluent in Persian and English.
