MD, FRACP — Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist
Dr Ali Zad completed his medical degree in 2002 and his physician training in New South Wales, followed by advanced training in gastroenterology in Queensland and New South Wales. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018 and is accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) for gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr Zad completed further training in gastrointestinal motility disorders at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam, working with Prof A. J. Bredenoord. This experience underpins the Center’s focus on reflux, swallowing difficulties and oesophageal manometry and pH testing.
He is a consultant gastroenterologist at Caboolture Hospital, consults and operates at seven private hospitals across Brisbane and Moreton Bay, and is actively involved in research and teaching medical students and junior doctors. Dr Zad speaks English and Persian.
